This project will support Mercy, a poor young widow, to take good care of herself and her two children. Mercy, a 23-year-old girl, lost her husband last month, with two children left for her to take care of. It hasn't been easy for them to feed and provide for the family when the husband was alive, talk more of now that he's dead. Her husband's parents are dead too and the husband's eldest brother, sent her and the children (a boy and girl) out, noting that the connection between them has ended.
Mercy doesn't have any source of livelihood. The little business of selling some food items that she was doing before, was sponsored by the late husband and right now, she's depressed. She doesn't have a family to return to, as her parents are also dead and she's left with her only younger brother who begs her for financial support. Without supporting this young girl, she might die of depression, leaving her two children to suffer.
With the funds that would be raised through this microproject, we will support her to start a business and be able to make a living and take good care of herself and the two children.
Mercy will be able to have something doing, in order to feed her children, pay house rent, sponsor her children's education and be able to take good care of herself and her children while providing other essential needs, without relying on people who may want to take advantage of her condition.
