Shirley's Summer Study is Complete/ Thanks to Your Help
Everyone is Proud of Shirley as she continues to gain skills and mature as a conscientious, caring woman.
Shirley has made full use of all the opportunities she has been given at both the Smiles Forever dental hygienist school and at our at-cost clinic. She has acquired many skills and much empathy for patients and families. This includes patients with disabilities like the severely burned children or even the ones with HIV. She is very careful in her work, and has the confidence of the whole Smiles Forever dental team. Recently, on a extended stay helping the Villa Tunari school in the Chapare area, she was a role model. Shirley bonded with the children she served and communicated well with the school staff and parents. Shirley became good friends with visiting senior dental hygienist students from the Shoreline Community College from Washington state.
I wish to thank all of you who extended a helping hand to Shirley as she will soon leave and venture into the next phase of her life. Shirley will be a wonderful ambassador for bringing better dental health care to indigenous Bolivians.
Sincerely, Sandy Kemper
