Hundreds of children and families living in slum communities are at risk of flooded homes, hunger, sickness, and sleepless nights under leaking roofs. With no proper shelter or protection from heavy rains, children are the most vulnerable, exposed to cold weather, infections, contaminated water, and a lack of nutritious food. Your support can protect children from falling sick, help families stay safe during heavy rains, and bring relief to communities fighting to survive the difficult monsoon.
While the monsoon brings beauty to Goa, it also brings hardship for slum communities living in unsafe and fragile shelters. Heavy rains and flooding often damage homes, force families into displacement, and expose children to illness, hunger, poor hygiene, and unsafe living conditions. For many vulnerable families, the monsoon season becomes a daily struggle for safety and survival. For these communities, the monsoon is not just a season of rain; it is a time of uncertainty and displacement.
This project aims to support 100 underprivileged families living in unsafe shelters during the monsoon season by providing tarpaulin sheets for roof protection. Heavy rains often leave families exposed to flooding, illness, and displacement due to broken or damaged roofs. By distributing tarpaulin sheets, the project will help create safer living conditions, protect families and children from harsh weather, and reduce the risk of water-related illnesses, giving immediate relief.
The project will provide thousands of displaced children with some basic needs such as tarpaulins, clothes, blankets, food, and other such aid relieves. Your support will go a long way relieving families from constantly wondering about sheltering and feeding their children to have basic needs.
