Spring & Valentine Outreach Update
Hello Everyone!
Thank you so much for your generous support of our Spring and Valentine Outreach Fundraiser on GlobalGiving. We are thrilled to share that the project has been fully funded!
A Day of Love and Joy
While we continue to fund our three weekly outreaches, a significant portion of your donations went toward our major Valentine Outreach. Together, our team of 80 volunteers distributed 2,550 Valentine gift bags and roses to women working in the red-light district of Pattaya.
For many of these women, these were the only gifts they received. Their surprise and joy were truly moving—some even remembered us from last year and were eager to see us again. It was a long, beautiful day; we spent the morning packing and the afternoon on the streets. The atmosphere was electric, and our team reported many deep, meaningful conversations.
Beyond the Gift: Real Opportunities
These gift bags were more than just a gesture; they were an invitation. Along with the gifts, we invited the women to a two-day Gel Nail Training workshop held last week. We were delighted to see several women from the bars join us to learn this new skill!
Additionally, we have seen a wonderful influx of new students joining our English classes following the outreach. We are hopeful that this momentum continues in the weeks to come.
Looking Forward
As we continue our weekly outreaches, our goal remains the same: to build relationships of trust. We want every woman to know that when she is ready to transition away from her current work, Tamar Center is here to help. Our vocational training programs are ready to welcome them into a new chapter of life.
Thank you for making this possible. Your support didn't just provide gift bags; it provided joy, dignity, and a sense of hope to thousands of women.
With gratitude,
The Tamar Family
