You can help make Christmas special for 1000 orphaned and vulnerable children around the world. The children and young people who are part of our projects study hard all year to progress in their education and training provided through our dedicated partners in Zambia, Kenya, Rwanda, Benin and India. To reward their efforts and to make Christmas memorable this year, we would like to make sure all the projects are able to throw a Christmas party for the children they support.
Life can be a struggle for children in some of the poorest regions of the world. Some don't have families to love and care for them. For others, their families aren't able to provide for them, so they find themselves working instead of going to school. They may be hungry or suffer from poor health and malnutrition. Our projects strive to address these needs and ensure that children feel loved, cared for and happy as well as making sure they are in school and housed, clothed, and fed.
Whilst the experience of orphaned and disadvantaged children varies around the world, poverty is the one experience they have in common. Our projects help children to break the cycle of poverty through education and training. We help children to build their self-esteem and raise their aspirations so that they can reach their full potential. But it's not all work and no play! Creating happy memories is part of this process, which is why we also want to make sure they have fun this Christmas.
Our projects provide education and training for disadvantaged children. This will give them the opportunity to obtain long term employment to enable them to support both themselves and their families in the future. Making sure the children are able to celebrate special occasions and have fun together creates good memories and happy children. The aim is to provide hope and encouragement to children as they grow and develop and navigate their way out of poverty.
