Thank you so much for your support of Tilou, Lulu, and Buddha, our little dassies! Although we didn't quite meet the funding goal, we raised enough to sponsor their food and care for the rest of the year and we will continue fundraising for 2017!
It was a an eventful month for the dassies. Unfortunately, Tilou broke his leg just a few weeks ago. We aren't sure exactly how, but knowing his curious nature, it was likely from climbing somewhere he wasn't supposed to be. A quick trip to the vet and he got his leg set and a cast put on. He is still in a cast, although it was replaced once when it slipped off. In a few days he will get another xray to see if the cast can come off. It doesn't stop Tilou from being his curious self as he still tries to get in trouble :)
The other dassies are healthy and running around the camp during the day. Their favorite spot to run around is by the ostriches. Thankfully, everyone gets along great!
