In the absence of a skill, even though being educated, most of the women are restricted to household chores for their entire lives whether they belong to rural or urban region. Anita is one of such women who got garment making skills by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation. Anita tells that she was suffering from all sort of troubles and in the absence of such a skill she was unemployed and just restricted to household chores and this led her to economic crunch. She got garment making skill development training organised by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors.
She learnt to make blouse, rajasthani costume, lehnga-choli, frock, baba suit, salwar suit and many other costumes from specialist trainer during the training. During the training, women are provided training for life skills, marketing, enterpreneurship development training. Now, Anita, being vocationally trained, seems full of confidence and she is also getting forward to be economic empowered. She, now has such a talent, by which she can earn at her home and she can lookafter her home along with livelihood.
The primary objective of this GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors supported project is to make poor deprived girls self-reliant and economic empowered by providing them vocational training. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan is trying to get Anita a bank loan in the future by which she can run her employment, for which our activist has applied. Anita is so happy and excited and the credit goes to Global Giving Foundation and the honourable donors. Anita earns Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 7,000 by stitching clothes for local women and thus she has become able enough to meet the requirements of her family.
