Greetings from SERUDS
Thank you for all your kind generous support for the Destitute Elderly Women through esteemed Organization Global Giving.
As part of regular ongoing programs SERUDS has started the Kitchen in the year 2009 at Harijanawada, Budhavarapeta slum, Kurnool Town for Destitute Elderly Persons to provide nutritious meals every day. We have been identified 30 poor elderly women from the different slums in Kurnool town, villages in Kurnool district. Bought them to one center and providing Nutritious lunch includes Stemed Cooked Rice, Leafy Vegetable Dhal, Mixed Vegetable Curry, Payasam, Pulagam, Curd, Sambhar, Seasonal Pickle, etc.
30 such elderly women having regular meals at SERUDS midday meals center. The nutritious lunch every day provides from 1pm to 2.30pm at the meals center. All the elderly women comes to these center and gets food. These elderly persons are neglected by their sons and daughters, some of them are not having children too. By seeing their critical juncture we are feeding them with nutritious diet at the later stage of human life. The elderly persons age group is 60 to 85yrs. By having this nutritious diet only the women health have been improved and they got a confidence on their lives.
With out your kind generous financial support it is very difficult for us to serve the meals in time to these destitute elders.
