Zimbabwe schools are on their knees, classes are 50/60 children to 1 teacher and so children do not get the support needed to learn which keeps them uneducated and in the poverty cycle of Africa. While Government corruption has been know to prefer this to avoid being challenged it is down to charities like us to help change this and begin to educate and support young people to change their future path. Teachers are currently on a salary of $150 a month which is not a living viable salary.
We have started with our own school for vulnerable girls, currently we have 118 girls that have been through a difficult abusive childhood and are now with the support or rehab at our school. We started here as these girls can't attend state schools as being in a class of 50/60 others makes it worse for them. Our private school aim's for classes of 15-20 students and our teachers are trained to support this vulnerable group. This school would never be supported by the government
With your support to sponsor a teacher we would love raise $600 a month to fund the salary for one of our amazing teachers and then a further $150 a month to fund 3 meals a day and stationery for the girls. With 118 girls we would like to fund 6 classes but we need your help. Each donation goes a long way to helping our teachers survive while providing quality and life changing education to our girls. Once this project is funded we will begin to help increase teachers at our 27 primary schools
By helping to lower the class to teacher ratio while also providing resources and food to the children we can help maximise the quality of teaching across Zimbabwe, Little by Little we will ensure every child has the best possible opportunities to learn and in return we are providing them with the skills and tools to change the future permanently in their community. Education will tackle poverty, hunger and improve their community economy so future generations have a fighting chance
