The group of leading students from the Playas del Coco Academic High School, located in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica, received with excitement to have reached the goal of $ 1000. Thank you very much for believing in them and contributing to their social entrepreneurship initiative.
In the middle of this year, there was also another excellent news from the Costa Rican Ministry of Education, which announced that they have already approved a public project to remodel this educational center, which will begin to be executed this year for a period of 24 months. The entire educational center will be remodeled and new infrastructure will also be built.
Therefore, in accompaniment with the Fundación Acción Joven, the planning and decision-making sessions with the group of leading students were resumed to generate a viable alternative that could be implemented as soon as possible, taking advantage of the available budget, thanks to the donations obtained.
The work sessions with the students with the approval of the school management began on September 7th, and now a new social initiative was chosen, which now consists of: providing the educational center with sports equipment that will be available to the entire student population and thus strengthen the disciplines of Futsala (indoor futbol), Volleyball and Basketball. Currently, the group of young leading students is in the phase of making budgets and requesting quotes, to make their new proposal for social entrepreneurship a reality.
This proposal responds to the need of the students to have leisure options, healthy recreation, which allows them to relieve stress and even provide the opportunity to interact with each other and make friends, in a context of pandemic in which a high percentage of them so far are returning to classrooms.

Soon, we will be sharing new updates on this initiative.
