Dear Donor,
Following your generous support to our third micro-project Project IDNo: 53911 - Solar Powered Trades Training, Family Harvest Foundation apreciates receipt of the refurbished tools and equipment from Tools with a Mission (TWAM - UK) in their good state usable for our training purposes.
Six out of the seven sewing machnies are electric and needs power supply however without this project coming to reality these mechines may not be put to use until the regular intermittent and erratic power line is errected in the area of the school.
We received only three donations from two donors amounting to USD30 yet the benefits from this project is huge as it will not only protect the enviroment but also help to fight climate associated problems.
The three Family Harvest Foundation fundraising team for this micro project ID No: 53911 consider their efforts not successful and are focused on renewing their strategies to acheive the target on the project proposal.
At the moment we have 19 youth attending tailoring, Hairdressing, construction and motorcycle mechanic training with 15 females and 4 males all below the age of 25. 14 of the trainees are being supported by CARE International under the Women and Youth Resilliant Project (WAYREP) being financed by the Austrian Development Corperation. 5 of the trainees are on a private scholarship scheme paid by their parents and your donations subsidy.
On a community development approach, we are implementing the Right2Grow project of the Movement for Community Led-Development www.mcld,org in Koch Goma Sub County in Nwoya dsitrict in northern Uganda, destined to fight poverty and stunting growth among the under 5 years of age. With the Secretariat in The Hunger Project Uganda office in Kampala, we made entry meetngs, conducted a mapping of project beneficiaries, made community needs assessments, generated training packages in a training manual, Information Education and Communication / Behavioural Change Communcation (IEC/BCC) material on food, nutrition and good WASH practices in two villages in the subcounty.
As the President of the Republic of Uganda has on an occasion talked of lifting the lockdown, our hope is to have full operation of the school.
We appreciate your donations and pray for your safety and health.
