Dear Maloca Supporter,
Maloca supports indigenous peoples living in the Amazon basin. You are receiving this update because you donated to this project or other Maloca projects. We thank you for your support!
This August, Maloca Director Luminita Cuna visited the Kamayura village in Brazil. The solar panels that were sent earlier this year are already installed and working. The Kamayura now enjoy clean energy, a big step ahead to a more comfortable, sustainable lifestyle and a healthier environment.
The Kamayura express once again their gratitude for the generosity of their supporters who helped them.
This important work would not have been possible without the generous support from people like you. Thank you!

Update on Kamayura Solar Panel Project
By Luminita Cuna | Project Leader
![]()
Thank you to everyone who support this project. We raised more than our goal and delivered more than we were asked for.
The solar panels AND the wifi router made it in the Kamayura village this week! A volunteer technical specialist will arrive in the village to setup correctly the panels. This will mark the start of clean, free energy that will power the radio and the school. The Kamayura are very happy, they have been waiting eagerly for the panels and router to reach their village. They are sending their heartfelt THANK YOU for your generosity. The impact of this small project will be big, and we will report back on it as soon as the panels are installed.
