Solar Lights Making Safe Studying Possible

By Sylvester Renner | Project Leader

Dear Project supporters,

Tens of thousands of kids and youths living in Sierra Leone study at night using kerosene lanterns and open-flame candles. Many of these homes are off-the-grid - with no electricity.

Thanks to your support, 6 students that received our solar lights are now studying safe at night - with no risk to their health and lives.   They are so appreciative of the gift of safe studying - that you have given them.

This gift will also save the families hundreds of dollars in fuel expense over 2-3 years. Thanks again for your support!

We are committed to helping to keep more families safe and to provide more solar powered technology to those who need it. Thank you for your on-going support as we make the world safer for us all.

Exciting news: Through a generous matching offer from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, GlobalGiving will be providing 50% matching for #GivingTuesday donations up to the first $1 million raised! This is the largest amount of matching funds GlobalGiving has ever had in one day in order to match more donations than ever before!

Join us in providing scholarships for girls in Sierra Leone on Giving Tuesday.  Your donation and impact will be doubled at the following link - http://goto.gg/3935.  Thanks so much for your support.

With great appreciation,
The Develop Africa team
