Dear Project Supporters,

Thanks to your generous donations we were able to provide multiple families with solar lights - in a village with no electricity.

Kamawornie is a village in Northern Sierra Leone and is not connected to the electricity grid - with no power supply. At night, for lighting, they have no choice but to use kerosene lanterns and open-flame candles. The smoke from these light sources is hazardous to their health.

The teachers, students and parents were delighted to receive solar lights.  You helped provide safe, renewable lighting through solar-rechargeable lights to multiple families in Kamawornie. Thanks to your support, the kids and youths can now read and study safely at night - with no risk to their health and lives.

Abdul was very thankful to receive a solar light; he is in class 6, loves going to school and hopes to be President when he grows up.

Adikalie is also in class 6, enjoys going to school and is very thankful for the solar light.  He enjoys playing football.

Marie and her mom were thankful for the solar light; she is in class 2, loves school and hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.

The school teachers that received solar lights are using them to grade papers and prepare class work.

We made a huge difference together.  Thanks again for your support!

We invite you to join us in providing even more families with solar lights.

With great appreciation,
The Develop Africa Team
