At just five, Negline has already lost her home in the earthquake and experienced extreme poverty. Her mother, Frantzcia, can only find occasional work washing clothing, so she can't afford to send Negline to school. She knows that without an education, Negline will be plagued by the same poverty which has affected her - that's why she enrolled Negline in our scholarship programme. With your help we'll give Negline the education she needs for a bright future.
School in Haiti is not free, and if a family cannot pay, their children simply do not attend. Lack of education locks these children in a cycle of poverty. Ensuring access to school not only improves children's lives, but strengthens Haitian communities in the long-term.
Negline has lived her whole life in poverty because her mother was never able to receive the education she needed when she was young. Your donation will give Negline the education he needs to ensure she does not follow in her mother's footsteps.
Access to education for children from families who do not have the means to send their children to school means that those children will have the skills they need to find stable jobs and escape the poverty of their families.
