Children  Haiti Project #21316

Send Nathaelle to School for a Year

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)

This project will provide a full year of education for 16 year old Nathaelle. Nathaelle was abandoned at birth and has spent her life living in an orphanage. Despite the challenges she's faced Nathaelle dreams of becoming a nurse. She always helps take care of the younger kids, and the orphanage staff think of her as a younger sister. With your help, we'll be able to provide her with the education she needs to fulfil her dreams and build a secure future.

As an orphan, Nathaelle is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There are no free schools in Port au Prince available, so the orphanage must pay for the kids in its care to attend school. Lack of education locks kids like Nathaelle into a cycle of poverty. Ensuring access to school not only helps Nathaelle, but strengthens Haitian communities in the long-term.

Nathaelle has lived her whole life in poverty. She needs a quality education to find a prosperous future. Your donations will give her that education and set her on the road to a brighter tomorrow.

Long-Term Impact

Access to education will give Nathaelle the skills she needs to find a stable job and escape poverty when she's older.
