The funds from this microproject will be used to provide books, supplies and transportation for Friba to attend a university in Afghanistan. She is a very bright young woman who has completed high school, but without a scholarship she will be unable to study.
The Afghan Institute of Learning, supported by Creating Hope International, educates thousands of students each year. Many of the students cannot afford to pay for transportation, books and supplies to continue their education at a university. This project will pay for books, supplies and transportation for one student to continue their education at a university in Afghanistan.
This microproject will pay for the books, supplies and transportation that Friba needs to attend a university. Without this scholarship, attending university would remain an unattainable dream to Friba.
It is AIL's believe that when you educate a woman, you educate a family. After attending the university, Friba will probably start a family. She will most likely teach her children about the importance of receiving an education. She will also be able to get a job and help provide for her family. Providing a scholarship for one woman may not seem like much, but AIL believes that it is how Afghanistan will be changed for the better.
