Christelle’s dad was forced to abandon her after Christelle’s mom left. He couldn't afford to feed Christelle or send her to school. So Christelle’s dad brought her to the HTDC orphanage.
But with other needs, like food, to worry about, the orphanage couldn’t provide Christelle with an education either.
Without an education, Christelle’s future looked bleak. Without basic literacy and numeracy, she would almost certainly have been doomed to the same life of poverty as her parents.
But Christelle is lucky - she has you in her life.
Thanks to you Christelle is now making friends, enjoying school, and looking forward to tomorrow!
Your fantastic generosity means that we’ll be able to keep Christelle in school and learning the skills she needs to build a brighter tomorrow. Christelle’s been doing really well in school, but if she needs extra help we’ll be there to get her the tutoring she needs.
