I wanted to share with you a photo of Jenny and Maya. They have passed all of their public access testing and are now an official working team. Thank you for donating to this project and making this possible.

Save the Date for STOMP Out Epilepsy and SUDEP. This is a National awareness walk that will take place in at least 10 cities across the United States in September. More information will follow.

Update on Jenny and her Seizure-Response Dog

Thank you for contributing to this project. Jenny is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her seizure-response dog, however has experienced a slight delay. The first service dog placed in training for her failed the program. I have the utmost respect for the trainer involved to recognize that that dog did not have what it takes to be a respected service dog and quickly react. While she has experienced a slight delay, I'm comfortable when she does receive "Gracie", they will be an amazing team. This is not a perfect process.

In addition, CHF is committed to sending 10 families to participate in Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland Resort on November 6, 2014. Last year we were priviledged to send (2) families who may not otherwise have ever had the opportunity to show their children Disneyland. The day was life-changing for those families and as a result, has surrounded with them a wonderful community of support. The stress seizures and epilepsy bring to familes is overwhelming so this is just one way CHF is granting comfort and hope to those who struggle on a daily basis with seizures. Save the Date! STOMP! Out Epilepsy and SUDEP (formerly Chelsea's Epilepsy Walk for SUDEP Awareness) will take place in September 2014. Organized walks will take place in Colorado, Virginia, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas andTexas. Website will be up and running by the end of June.
