Challenge

Education is a major ongoing problem for many children in Sierra Leone due to the cost and the very limited funds that many families have available. According to the United Nations, 42% of African school children will drop out before the end of primary education. In these children's case, they don't have any funds and are relying entirely on the Dream Home to have a chance at a future. This project will provide a scholarship for each sister in addition to housing and food for a year.

Solution

Funds from this project will help Hannah, Flourence and Fatmata continue their education and provide food and housing this year. Your support will help provide all they need to be successful in school this year and empower these young women to become forward-thinking leaders of Sierra Leone.

Long-Term Impact

Healthy, well-educated and emancipated women are an excellent foundation for a new and free society. Your support will help these sisters get to the ultimate goal of finishing school and becoming independent and self-sufficient. In their chosen future careers, they will also be contributing to national development.
