Dear Friends,
A new school year has begun in Afghanistan, and as promised, we’re writing to update you on the student who received the scholarship that you helped to fund! A young girl named Yalda will be attending a private school in Herat province, thanks to your generosity. Yalda's father is a shoemaker and the family could not afford to send Yalda to school. Because of your help, Yalda will be in the first grade this school year.
Above you can see Yalda and her classmates who also received scholarships. In all, through GlobalGiving and other sources, we were able to provide 73 scholarships to students just like Yalda to study at private schools in Afghanistan this school year! We’d like to thank you once again for supporting our efforts to provide a high quality education to as many students as possible. Thank you.
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for your generous donations to our project. The school year is currently in session in Afghanistan, and rather than give out a partial scholarship, Creating Hope International will work with our Afghan partners to select a deserving student to receive the scholarship for the school year when it begins March 2014. We will update you in April of 2014 with information about the student who receives this scholarship.
Again, thank you for your kind donation. This scholarship will allow one poor student to receive an education that they wouldn’t otherwise have access to. Your donation will help to change the course of one young Afghan’s life. Thank you.
