Dear friends,
thank you for supporting Ukrainian kids with cancer during the Covid-19 emergency.
In the picture, you can see Tolia and his mom. Thanks to the support from the emergency Covid-19 fund we created together, the guy was able to come to Kyiv and receive radiotherapy which was not available in his hometown. Now Tolia is getting well at home.
As of now, the situation is getting worse in Ukraine with more and more cases registered every day. That’s why it’s important to guarantee maximum protection in pediatric departments with personal protection equipment and disinfectants. We do it in cooperation with the doctors.
Besides, all the patients who need hospitalization have to pass regular coronavirus tests. The state provides such tests for free but the waiting period may be a week or even two weeks. Without these results, the kids cannot start chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or any other therapy. We pay for the tests for low-income families who cannot afford them in private laboratories.
We continue responding to kids’ needs that emerge as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak. We need your help to save children together! Thank you!
Take care in these difficult times,
Zaporuka Foundation Team
