The Save Hundreds of Lives Together project's goal was to raise funds to purchase a new cytocentrifuge machine for the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center in Lviv.
The hospital uses a cytocentrifuge to prepare up to 400 samples per year. Unfortunately, the equipment was outdated and could fail at any moment. There is no similar equipment in any other hospital in Lviv, and it is impossible to transfer biological fluids to another city because the cells are destroyed quickly. Lack of necessary equipment meant stopping the treatment of children.
Thanks to the generosity of each of you, Charitable Foundation Zaporuka could purchase a new cytocentrifuge. In February 2021, we delivered equipment to the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center in Lviv.
The installation of a new centrifuge with the necessary components and accessories assures the quality of diagnosis. The doctors prescribe a more accurate and efficient treatment. The new equipment ensures better monitor treatment progress and preventing dangerous complications. At least five children benefit from the use of this equipment every day.
Providing the hospital with new equipment guarantees high-quality treatment for ill kids and for kids who will be diagnosed with blood diseases in the future. The availability of such modern equipment guarantees approximating the general level of medical assistance for children in Ukraine to the best world standards.
Thanks to everyone for the donation! Timely diagnosis and constant monitoring are the keys to the successful fight against cancer.
