This project will support flood victims and their families in Anambra State, financially and otherwise in order to help them survive. Anambra State is one of the states in Nigeria currently battling massive flooding, with over 300 of it's communities presently underwater. Houses, farmlands, critical infrastructures such as Schools, Healthcare Centers, Police Stations, Banks, and Offices have all been submerged, leading to loss of lives, increase in food prices and displacement of people.
Flooding is a perennial problem in Nigeria, but this year's own is very devastating and the worst in over a decade, killing over 600 people and injuring more than 2,400. About 1.4 million people have also been displaced from their communities. Anambra State is one of the states in Nigeria currently battling massive flooding, with over 300 of it's communities presently underwater. This has led to increase in food prices, as farmlands have been submerged and crops destroyed.
All donations to this microproject will go towards supporting these flood victims and their families in Anambra State, in order to help them survive and overcome this difficult period.
These people will have the support they need in order to continue living and taking good care of themselves and their families, after this period.
