Dear Friend,
Thank you so much for supporting our running team who took part in both the 10km and half marathon distances in the Angkor Empire events on 5th August 2018.
It was a great day, which started early (5am!) in order to beat the heat and was over by mid morning! We had a team of 7 take part and between them they raise $520 (mainly through Global Giving, but some in local cash donations). A special thank you to our runners Executive Director, KONG Vanthat, Sok SovanPanha, Amara, Sokmuy, Mouyhouy, Tong, Pierre and friends. And an even bigger special thank you to YOU for sponsoring them.
The funds raised are being used to support Women and Girls in Siem Reap through a number of projects from counselling and referral services to workshops on financial literacy, women’s health, gender equality and parenting skills, and outreach workshops in schools and communities. In addition, your funds may support our campaigns to empower women and raise gender equity issues in Cambodia. We have enclosed some pictures of the workshops we are currently running and hope you enjoy them in the knowledge that you have helped to ensure they are possible.
Thank you for investing in women and girls in Siem Reap and supporting their empowerment and future success.
Best wishes from the WRC team
