This microproject addresses the problem of bullying on Grand Bahama through a multifaceted approach. Firstly, by organizing island-wide speech and art competitions for students, the initiative encourages creative expression and empowers the younger generation to actively stand against bullying. The competitions provide a platform for students to articulate their perspectives, fostering a sense of empathy and solidarity.
The center provides programs for all ages. Our welcoming space allows individuals to gather and connect with others as they engage in skills-building activities & collectively heal. Our programs and support groups have created platforms from which beneficiaries are learning skills for personal development and coping skills to navigate life's challenges and future shocks. The programs also serve as a gateway for families to access more specialized mental health care where there is a need.
