Hi This is Riya!
Thank all you all so much for your kind donations to the new kitchen appeal which raised $671 (plus a 100 GBP donation) making a total of $796 against the target we need. So, we need $1705 more to completely renovate the kitchen at Rescue Junction. It’s a good start and you could say the much-needed new kitchen is still cooking!
What we have decided to do is carefully ring fence those funds into an account we have called quite brilliantly “The Kitchen Fund”. We will try and relaunch this appeal for the giving season in December this year. If we do not raise the funds we need we will use the funds we already have, thanks to your help, to improve facilities in the kitchen as much as we can with the funds we have, so rest assured that your kind donation will be used exclusively for the purpose you gave it. We have limited any further appeals to three months so we will be posting on our Facebook page here,

I must tell you that a quite remarkable opportunity to help the children and communities we serve is on Global Giving on Giving Tuesday, November 29th. All donations will be matched up to $1000 at 50% by Global Giving.
