This project will reconstruct and uplift the fence of Inyaba Community Primary School in Nnewi-Anambra State, Nigeria, to prevent thieves from jumping into the compound, breaking into the classrooms/offices to steal and commit other crimes. This is one of the oldest primary schools in Nnewi and it's fence is so dilapidated that if it's not reconstructed soonest, it will fall, exposing the pupils of this school and their teachers to more danger. We'll be grateful for your support to achieve this.
The learning environment of this school is vulnerable, exposing the pupils and teachers to danger. Our intention was to drill a borehole for this primary school, as the school lacks a source of water supply, but when we met with the school authority, we were told that the most important thing the school needs now, is to reconstruct and uplift their fence, as thieves use to jump into the compound to burgle the classrooms/offices and also smoke marijuana.
We have bought materials like sand, blocks, cement, planks, nails and binding wire, which is needed to commence this work and will buy more as the work progresses. We look forward to starting the work on July 28 but will need more support, as the funds we have won't be enough to complete the work. We also need to buy rods, which we'll use to form pillars and also chain the back fence, as the fence is no longer strong.
Reconstructing and uplifting this school fence, will give the pupils of this school a safe space to learn, play and grow without external disturbances and they will feel safe going to school every day. This will also help to increase the school's enrollment, as parents/guardians would want their children/wards to attend school in a safe environment.
