December 3-6, 2016, students from the San Francisco Agricultural School participated in Junior Achievement’s (JA) regional competition for their program, the Company, in Mexico City. The Competition, “Company of the Year,” has been held for the past 8 years and is one of the most important competitions held by JA Americas.
The students, Jorge, Axel, and Astrid, presented the company they created, Al Estilo Pallets J.A., at the competition, representing the 30 other students that worked to create the company with them at San Francisco Agricultural School.
The 3 day competition included professional presentations of each of the 20 companies representing 20 Latin American countries, as well as spaces to discuss hot topics such as globalization, entrepreneurial impact, and leadership. The students also had the opportunity to explore the cultural sites of the city and experience the traditional dances of Mexico.
Although they did not win, the students returned to Paraguay full of excitement and new ideas to share with their classmates, and ready for the next challenge!
