Hello everyone,
I am Deepak, chairman of People First and once again I want to thank you for your wonderful response to our winter appeal. Because of your generosity we were able to make sure every child and vulnerable person in need of a blanket or warm clothing in our project area during the bitterly cold damp winter got the protection from the weather that they needed.
Our health team and our team at Rescue Junction distributed clothing and blankets , helped on one occasion by the Superintendent of Police of the district!
As one women told one of our health team,
"We are so poor we sometimes struggle to find enough money for food. Our clothes are thin and any blanket we might have is thin and worn. To get a thick warm woollen blanket which we could never afford and woollen hats and sweaters for the children to keep them warm and safe, is a godsend for us all and I am so grateful to you".
