It was a Friday evening, we got into the village, the school girls were eagerly waiting to receive the sloar led lamps, "here they come" said Joan, she is in her secondary one.
42 girls received the solar lamps that are meant to help them complete their assignments in time at home. Girls do alot of home chores till late, by the time they settle to do their assignments, kerosene would have run out of the candle, so the solar chargeable lamp will sort it out and make reading easier for the little ladies.
There was excitement in the village. All the beneficiaries were taught on the usage of the lamps by our staff.
The performance of these girls is likely to improve this year because of the service, their revision time is going to improve and not only are these lamps beneficial to the girls but to the entire family as they will be able to use it too.
