Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you so much for supporting our project Provide Physical Rehab for 10000 Blind Youth.
Though we did not meet the funding goal, but the amount of funds raised for the project helped us partially pay for the Pilates Instructor Educational Program.
Our Pilates Intructor who is visually challenged successfully completed Mat 1 and Mat 2 Pilates certification program and is going to be tested out in one month.
During the program she learned special methods and techniques how to teach Pilates for those who are visually disabled: verbal and manual cueing. In the end of the program our Pilates instructor was able to teach a class for 45 minutes while being supervised by the Certified Balanced BODY and PMA Pilates instructors. During the program she gained deep knowledge and skills in Pilates teaching, anatomy of movement, she went deep into Pilates exercises and learned how to clearly describe exercises, safely master the exercise, build and design appropriate workout according to the needs and health condition of the clients.
This will help her better understand and teach Pilates to visually disabled people and create an audio workout for visually disabled.
