This project will provide a year of nutritious food for six year old Novelie. After her mom died Novelie was left in the care of a young aunt. Novelie's aunt couldn't afford to care for her and so she brought her to the HTDC orphanage. Novelie was very sad for a long time but now she's begun to smile again. But without nutritious meals to keep her growing, Novelie's future will be bleak.
As an orphan, Novelie is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't an effective nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for her basic needs. This means that, without your help, Novelie may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving her more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.
By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Novelie needs to stay healthy. Donations to this project will cover Novelie's share of the food costs over a year, but will be spent on all the children in parallel as we fundraise for each in turn.
