Thanks so much for helping to provide nutritious food for Nolson*.
Although this microproject wasn’t fully funded the generous donations we received have still made a vital impact.
Nolson's dad died in the 2010 earthquake, leaving his mum to look after ten children. Although it broke her heart to do it, she couldn't provide for all ten, so she took Nolson and two of his brothers to the HTDC orphanage.
When Nolson’s mum left them at the orphanage she hoped they’d have a better future, but although the orphanage staff work tirelessly they often struggle to feed all the children from day to day.
Yet now - thanks to you - Nolson’s been able to enjoy nutritious meals for a little while longer. We’ll also keep funding to provide the food he needs to stay healthy and keep on growing.
Nolson has a brighter future because you gave. There are so many things you could have spent your hard earned money on, but you chose Nolson. Thanks so much.
We’ll keep updating you about Nolson and all his friends at the Hands Together to Defend the Children Orphanage through this project’s parent page,Provide a Safe Home for Haitian Orphans. If you ever have any questions about how we're using your donation, please email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!
Thanks again and our warmest regards!
*Donations to this project help cover Nolson’s share of the food costs, but are spent on all the children in parallel as we fundraise for each in turn.
