Our target group is 20 native indigenous communities who are semi-nomadic and live in extreme poverty. These communities are far removed from urban centers and mobilizing these people is very difficult and expensive due to how remote they are. Therefore, it is very difficult for them to access medical centers. This project provides mobile medical care to 20 communities who otherwise would not have any access to this care.
The families we serve do not receive any medical help, either from the government or from other private institutions. With our mobile clinics we plan to provide basic health and dental care, in addition to the delivery of medicines for the respective treatment at least 3 times a year. Additionally, there will be campaigns for deworming and oral health that will occur on each visit.
We eliminate, as much as possible, those diseases that occur frequently, such as: diarrhea, conjunctivitis, skin infections, back pain, arthralgias. In addition, by giving workshops during each visit, we will create awareness of dental hygiene and how to take care of your health.
Obviously this problem is not going to be solved in 1 year. Access to different communities is very complicated and expensive, therefore our institution will try to keep visiting these areas to provide them with the necessary medical care. The beneficiaries will be about 1,500 people who will be provided with medical care and check-ups 3 times a year. Therefore we can say that our doctors will be giving about 4,500 consultations in a year.
