Mabinty is an Ebola orphan and resides in the Dream Home orphanage. She has just started her second year in Junior Secondary School (JSS2). Mabinty would like to be an accountant when she grows up so that she can help improve the country's economy. This project will provide a scholarship for Mabinty ensuring she stays in school for another year.
Because Mabinty is an orphan she has no family support to help her get through school. Her extended family is not yet in the position to assume responsibility for her. With no support, she inevitably will drop out of school.
Funds from this project will cover Mabinty's school-related costs - tuition, books, school supplies and related school expenses for a school year. We are now her family - "the village" of well-wishers. We are the kind people who help to take care of her.
Healthy, well-educated and emancipated women are an excellent foundation for a new and free society. Your support will help Mabinty to finish school, become independent and self-sufficient. In her chosen future career as an accountant, she will also be contributing to national development.
