The four Yacoobi Private Schools in Herat and Kabul, provide quality education for Afghan children, giving them greater opportunity for higher education and jobs. The schools offer a varied curriculum with extensive science classes. The schools need supplies for their laboratories including, chemicals such as silver nitrate, sodium chloride, nitric acid, soft soap, Ph paper and marble stones. $100 will provide supplies for the 4 schools for one month.
The Yacoobi Private Schools have excellent science facilities including classes in physics, chemistry and geology. The laboratories at the schools need supplies to continue operating. $100 will buy one month's worth of supplies
The science classes are central to the curriculum at the schools and the supplies provided by this project will enable teachers to continue with high quality science education. Scholarships are provided to needy students so they can attend these quality schools and receive an excellent science education.
In Afghanistan, returned refugees or IDPs often live in poor economic circumstances and they cannot afford quality education. The private schools have scholarships for needy students who are then able to study many science subjects. Education is the way to improving lives giving students greater opportunity for higher education and jobs.
