This micro project will distribute fruit trees to 25 households to enable children and adults in the households have basic health derived from juice and also sell some to boost household income. budded fruit trees like mangoes, oranges, avocados among others will be provided to boost household health and income.The project will work towards building the capacity of households to be self reliant and produce enough food and incomes in order to uphold child well being
The environment has severely been degraded and a number of factors have contributed to this.Due to lack of other sources of income, the community members and people from outside have resorted to cut down trees for timber, charcoal and wood fuel for sale. This has reduced plant cover contributing to climatic changes which in turn has negatively impacted on crop productivity.
25 households will receive each five types of variety of fruit trees to boost on the environment, household income and health. This is expected to increase on the plant cover hence increased rains and conducive environment.
The organization will work with the local government environmental officer to train households on management of fruit trees and with the district production officer to help households with value addition
