Thank You for Helping our Food Security Program

Dear friends and supporters of our school,

Thank you so much for generously reaching out and donating to our food security program.

Although we raised over $200 with your help, we did not raise enough to meet our goal of $10,000, however your wonderful support is still vital to providing proper nourishing meals to all our children resident at our school, although it be obviously for a shorter time period.

With your donations we have bought meat, fish, cooking oil, vegetables, fruit, herbs, spices and natural palm sugar (nothing to do with palm oil!). We still have a supply of rice generously donated by a Belgian NGO until this December, so we did not need to buy rice with your funds, but we could concentrate on buying the above.

Our children receive a cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner providing them with proteins, vegetables, carbohydrates and natural sugars through fruit, with some cooked desserts as well. Our Cambodian cook who was trained by an Italian chef is very popular with our children, because she listens to their requests and cooks very good meals.

Although we do have special needs children, some of whom have life-challenging illnesses, in general our children are in very good health and this is very much thanks to the good, healthy food they eat. Although almost all children who arrive at our school when they are small, are under-weight and malnourished, in a short space of time they regain their correct weight, their skin and hair becomes shiny and luminous and they are full of energy.

By giving as you have, you give something so simple but so important, literally life-saving and life-changing.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
