Provide hygiene workshops following the World Health Organisation's guidelines for a community in rural Siem Reap, Cambodia. This will help with prevention of the Coronavirus.
This project will ensure our community in rural Siem Reap receive factual information about the Coronavirus and practical, relevant tips for prevention. These workshops are run by local Cambodian staff who are able to tailor the workshop to be culturally appropriate. All attendees will receive soap to use at home.
We have been running hygiene workshops in our community for years, and created a trust with our community who will happily attend our workshops. Our new Coronavirus workshops will provide official information from the World Health Organisation. This includes: protecting yourself, shopping and working in wet markets, practising food safety and mythbusters. By presenting this information in an informative and engaging way, and providing free soap, we empower our community.
The project will install lasting knowledge about virus prevention in the community, so they are well-equipped to live long and healthy lives. By presenting factual information straight from the World Health Organisation, we will ensure that our community remain calm but informed during pandemics.
