Provide Christelle a year of food

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
Provide Christelle a year of food

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for Christelle. Christelle isn't sure how old she is - we think she's around fourteen. Her dad was forced to abandon her after Christelle's mom left and he couldn't feed her anymore. Christelle was sick and malnourished when she arrived, but now, thanks to healthy meals, she's made friends, is enjoying school and looking forward to tomorrow. But without more nutritious meals to keep her growing, Christelle 's future will be bleak

monthly donors

As an orphan, Christelle is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't an effective nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for her basic needs. This means that, without your help, Christelle may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving her more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Christelle needs to stay healthy. Donations to this project will cover Christelle's share of the food costs over a year, but will be spent on all the children in parallel as we fundraise for each in turn.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Christelle needs, you're preventing illness and helping her grow up strong!
