On October 31th, we celebrate the Festival of Diwali! The children are very excited as each year we have a wonderful time celebrating with food, games and music. Every year, we ask for help to purchase special festive attire, good meals, sweets and crackers in celebration of the holiday that celebrates the light each of us bring into this world with our acts of kindness and generosity. This holiday is very special for our girls. Together we can provide our girls with an abundant holiday season.
Diwali is major in India. The festival of lights is celebrated by many and includes lighting lamps, eating special snacks, doing fireworks and exchanging gifts. The children of Dayspring wish to celebrate Diwali like any other family. This is why we need funds to provide all that is necessary.
Celebrating Diwali provides a lot of joy and a sense of normalcy for the children. Celebrations are important for cohesion and improving mental health.
We are proud to say that many of our children have now grown up, and have graduated high school and attend the local college or university, with aspirations for working in civil service. This is with continuing medical assessment, sustainable nutrition and social care, and depends on generous donor support. Together we are ensuring a better future free from stigma and full of health and possibilities. It is with our sincerest gratitude that we thank you for giving to the children of India.
