Provide a Scholarship for One Afghan Boy

Project Report | Aug 17, 2015
From High School to College

By Elizabeth Appleyard | Program Officer

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your support of our efforts to give young Afghans access to high quality education.

In addition to the primary education that many of you have funded through your generous support of our projects funding scholarships for K-12 students, we have been able to provide support to eight university students in Kabul and 15 university students in Herat. The 23 students include 7 young men and 16 young women. These students are pursuing a variety of majors including Law & Political Science, Dentistry, Dari & English Literature, Economy & Management, Radiology, Religion, Mining & Geology, History, Nursing and Computer Science. These students are among the best in their classes and are on their way towards making Afghanistan a better place for all.

The 23 students you have supported are so thankful to have the opportunity to earn university degrees. Thank you again for your support of our efforts to make education a reality for Afghan students.
