Sphoorti provides shelter to 160 orphan and destitute children. These children are from highly vulnerable backgrounds, and often malnourished. This micro project meets the cost of providing nutritious breakfast and dinner to 160 underprivileged children in Sphoorti Children's Home in India for 3 months. These orphan children will grow into healthy adults and will be and participate in studies, games and extra-curricular activities.
This project provides nutritious breakfast and dinner to 160 underprivileged children in age group is 6-15 yrs. Malnutrition stunts mental development and reduces a child's learning capacity. With empty stomachs, it's impossible for children to concentrate on academics and other pursuits of their choice. Since education is the only weapon for the children to fight poverty, providing healthy food is of great importance.
Every day, orphan children receive breakfast an dinner in Sphoort Home, providing them with the basic nutrients they need to be grown and perform well in their classes. The dinner includes Cooked Rice, Rotis, Vegetable Curry, Sambar, Curd. The menu is designed by a nutritionist and provides health and taste to the children. On Sundays, children enjoy a special breakfast as well as lunch and dinner.
Each day, we keep getting requests for admission of children who lost their parents in tragic situations. This project provides long-term support 200 children allowing them to break out of illiteracy and poverty. It project brings improvement of children's health, awareness of their rights and makes them more employable in the long run.
