Provide 20 Abused Children With Toys This Holiday

Provide 20 Abused Children With Toys This Holiday

Summary

Almost every American mother we help get back to the USA has two or three children that have also experienced child abuse. Back at home with nothing more than the clothes on their backs, these families barely have the means to get by. We want to provide 20 of the children we have helped this year with $40 in toys for the holidays. For most, this will be the first time away from abuse, safe and happy during the holidays.

Challenge

American mothers who have fled and return to the USA with their children to escape abuse in foreign countries do not have the financial means to provide toys for their children this holiday. We have identified the neediest families we have served this year. We aim to provide 20 children with $40 in toys. A happy holiday is a big step to recovery for these children.

Solution

20 children will have their first happy holiday away from violence, most for the first time in their lives.

Long-Term Impact

Each year we provide battered American women and children with information and services necessary to enable them to live their lives without violence. Since 2001 we have helped over 3000 women plus their children free themselves from abuse.
