This project will help provide relief to 100 most vulnerable families impacted by COVID-19 in the rural community in Cambodia who are currently facing a food crisis due to the downturn of the country's economy. Your donations will save hundreds of lives from hunger, by providing them with food packages and handwash soap.
COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the economy in Cambodia. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their jobs, and these job losses have cut the income sources of the families and created a food crisis. An estimated loss of just 30 cents US per day in income per person would double the country's poverty rate (UN World Food Program).
This project will allow HHA to distribute 100 most vulnerable families with food packs and handwash soap, which is the primary need for them to survive and improve their health. Each family will be received 25kg of rice, 30 eggs, 25 packages of noodles, 10 tins of fish, and 1 bottle of handwash soap.
This project will ensure food security for 100 families to prevent them from malnutrition and starvation, allowing them the opportunity to stand up again to fight against COVID-19 until it has passed.
