It will give teachers the access to materials and confidence to incorporate technology into their lessons, empowering students with the technological skills to navigate a digital future and compete on a global level.
"Without technology, rural Kenyan schools cannot avoid being left behind" - Zaccheaus Osoro, St Peter's Chironge E-learning has become a large focus of resource donation and investment, but teachers are often not equipped to incorporate them effectively into their lessons. Projectors can make up for low textbook availability, make classes more engaging and allow the lesson to reach those right at the back of the classroom.
By holding a peer-to-peer training session led by local multimedia experts, we can introduce a permanent change in the use of projectors in the classrooms of district secondary schools in Kenya. The conference will give teachers ideas and expertise to use projectors in the most effective way.
The overall aim of the project is to improve the quality of education in the schools within our EPAfrica network.
