We would like to thank you for your support of our “Printing a Calligraphy Book for Afghan Students Project” here on Global Giving. Students are learning a culturally significant art when they practice calligraphy; they are learning not only the fundamentals of good writing but how to write Farsi in a beautiful way. In April, we were able to print some 3,000 copies of our 68-page calligraphy workbook for use by students all over Afghanistan. Students in our learning centers and in school now can learn how to properly write the Farsi script and can take other classes to study this artistic and cultural pursuit. Again, we give our thanks to you for your generous support!
