Bhuvana's parents were farmers in Chittoor earlier holding 2 acres of land. After their borewells failed, they landed in deep losses and had to sell their land. They migrated to Tirupati and are working as helpers in a super market. Their incomes are not able to support tuition of their children. This project will help us protect the girl child from 1. being a child sex worker 2. being a victim of trafficking 3. child marriage 4. illiteracy and unemployment for life
This project solves the problem by providing the girl child timely education material, shoes, school bags, uniforms etc to study well and attend school regularly. This project helps the girl child nurture hope and confidence to lead a reasonably good life.
The project will provide education to 200 first generation school going girls and help them attain high school education at the least. Beneficiaries who complete school to secondary level are supported with higher education, training, apprenticeships and/or employment. About 150 families (750 people) will be direct and indirect beneficiaries of this initiative.
