Because of your generosity, Leon will begin counseling sessions this week to help recover from the child abuse he experienced from his father in Bolivia.
When we called his mother Janet to tell her that donors like you are paying for Leon's counseling she cried tears of joy. She said it was the first time she had cried for joy instead of fear and pain in a long time. Janet can't thank you enough for helping her son. Early intervention for children who have experienced child abuse is critical for them to be able to minimize the effects of trauma and PTSD. You have given Leon so much more than 15 sessions of counseling - you have given him his childhood back.
